Blogging and Its Impact on Sales

Checkmate - Beaupre BlogAndy Beaupre, of Beaupre Public Relations, has a great post on blogging’s impact on sales.  Not only do you get the benefits of interactivity, branding, developing a company voice, and transparency, a blog can help drive sales.  This happens because blogging platforms and the content in blogs are ideal for search engine optimization.  If people can find your blog via Google or the other search engines, they will be more likely to read your content and look at the products or services you have to offer.

There’s also a very good idea near the end of the story.  Andy suggests that you develop periodic “best of” compilations of your top 4-5 blog posts and send them out to your email list (and you are keeping a list of your visitor’s emails, right?) and to social networks such as Facebook and LinkedIn.  You should also make sure to “tweet” your posts on Twitter to update your followers immediately.

The Checkmate blog has a ton of great info that’s applicable to any business.  Take some time and look through the archives.  I’m sure you’ll find something you can apply to your local business.
